Анотація: У статті описано особливості бізнес-акселераторів як особливих суб’єктів господарювання з підтримки інноваційних стартапів, які мало відомі, але користуються все більшим визнанням та стрімкою популярністю серед молодих підприємців та засновників нових компаній. Метою статті є характеристика особливостей українських бізнес-акселераторів та їх досвід у підтримці вітчизняних стартапів.
Встановлено, що у розвинутих країнах акселератори є важливим суб’єктом інноваційної підприємницької екосистеми. За допомогою акселераторів стартапи можуть перевірити життєздатність нового продукту чи послуги та отримати умови для масштабування бізнесу. Довгостроковими цілями бізнес-акселератора є: допомогти бізнесу, який він підтримує, швидко вирости і стати прибутковим, окупати свої інвестиції. При дослідженні діяльності українських акселераторів виявлено, що всі програми мають схожий формат та структуру, але відрізняються наявністю додаткових можливостей залежно від спрямованості акселератора. Аналіз показав, що найбільшу зацікавленість для розвитку в акселераційних програмах викликають проекти стартапів, які зосереджені на наданні сервісних послуг, створенні обладнання чи продукції, додатків та чат-ботів. Помічено, що найбільша частка припадає на акселераційні програми тривалістю 3 місяці, інвестиційною винагородою зазвичай є участь у прибутках новоствореної компанії, хоча існують і безкоштовні програми.
Відзначено, що обсяг пропонованих інвестицій в акціонерний капітал стартапів може відрізнятися в різних бізнес-акселераторах: від $10 тис. до $100 тис. (залежить від різних факторів), при цьому отримана частка в капіталі компанії може бути від 1 до 10 %. Слід зауважити, що для молодих компаній співпраця з акселератором дозволить отримати багато переваг, але для того, щоб пройти конкурсний відбір необхідно працювати над відповідністю критеріям програми. Узагальнено, що для молодих компаній співпраця з акселератором дозволить: отримати вигоду від роботи з інноваціями; запускати нові продукти та бізнес-моделі; виявити інноваційні тенденції та загрози; залучати творчі, прогресивні таланти; впроваджувати інноваційні рішення в наявні послуги; адаптувати свою цифрову стратегію до нового світу після Covid.
Abstract: This article has described the specific features of business accelerators as special business subjects for support of innovative start-ups, which are little known, but are increasingly recognized and are increasingly popular among young entrepreneurs and founders of new companies. This article aims to characterize the peculiarities of Ukrainian business accelerators and their experience in supporting domestic startups. It was found that in developed countries accelerators are an important subject of the innovative enterprise ecosystem. Accelerators enable startups to test the viability of a new product and provide opportunities for business scaling. The long-term goals of the business accelerator are to help the business that it supports, quickly grow and become profitable, and to recoup its investments. The study of Ukrainian accelerators showed that all programs have a similar format and structure, but differ in the presence of additional features depending on the orientation of the accelerator. The analysis showed that the greatest interest for development in accelerator programs is for startup projects focused on service delivery, creation of equipment and products, add-ons, and chat bots.
It was noted that the largest share is for acceleration programs of 3 months, the investment reward is usually participating in the profits of the new company, although there are also free programs. It was noted that the size of investments into equity capital of startups may be different in various business acceleration centers: from $10,000 to $100,000 (depending on some factors), while the share in the company’s capital could be from 1 to 10 %. It should be said that for young companies, cooperation with an accelerator will provide many advantages, but to pass the competitive selection it is necessary to work on complying with the program’s criteria. It is summarized that for young companies, cooperation with the accelerator will allow them: to benefit from working with innovation; launch new products and business models; identify innovative trends and threats; attract creative, progressive talents; implement innovative solutions to existing services; adapt their digital strategy to the new world after Covid.
