Abstract: The article analyzes types of entrepreneurship, emphasizes the need to carry out scientific research in the direction of forming a complete typology of modern entrepreneurship and consideration of existing debatable aspects in this area. The following types of entrepreneurship were identified based on the study of literary sources on the given topic: traditional, innovative, academic, corporate, social, digital, ecological, intellectual, inclusive and women's entrepreneurship. It was found that the identified types of entrepreneurship are characterized by their specific features and attributes, which serve as the basis for the classification of entrepreneurship. Among the criteria for distinguishing types of entrepreneurship, the following are defined: subject (academic — scientists and employees of academic organizations, corporate — employees, inclusive — people with special needs, female — women), goals (traditional — obtaining commercial profit through the use of traditional economic methods, intellectual — creation of new knowledge, innovative — creation of innovations, social — satisfaction of social needs, implementation of social projects, ecological — combination of commercial goals with the aim of preserving the environment, inclusive — achievement of social inclusion), environment (digital — digital platforms, corporate — internal environment business entities, academic — internal environment of academic organizations) and tools (digital) implementation of entrepreneurial activity. The diversity in the interpretation of the content of each type of entrepreneurship strengthens the debatable nature of approaches to the typology of entrepreneurship and reveals the objective need for a deeper development of this scientific task.
