Abstract: The article examines the transformation of the logistics potential of water transport in Ukraine in the context of modern geoeconomic challenges. Logistics potential is considered as a multidimensional structure that includes material, technological, socioeconomic, environmental and cultural-civilizational aspects. At the same time, a study of modern literary sources was conducted with a comparison of the pre-war period and the post-war period. Emphasis is placed on the need to balance the sustainable development of the logistics system and the dynamics of changes caused by external factors, such as war, global restructuring of logistics chains and environmental imperatives. The author analyzes the regulatory, legal, infrastructural and technological aspects of the development of water transport, in particular the state of the port industry of Ukraine and its adaptation to international standards. Innovative approaches to port operations management, the introduction of digitalization and environmental standards, as well as strategic initiatives to increase the competitiveness of the industry are presented. The research methodology includes an interdisciplinary approach that combines philosophical and methodological analysis, economic and mathematical modeling and a systemic approach that allows revealing the relationship between infrastructure capabilities, national priorities and global trends of sustainable development. The results obtained indicate the significant potential of Ukrainian water transport for integration into global logistics chains. Practical recommendations are aimed at infrastructure modernization, environmental adaptation and digitalization of processes, which will strengthen Ukraine's position in the global transport system. The substantiated conclusions obtained emphasize the need to implement public-private partnerships for the development of the industry. Successful implementation of the proposed measures will contribute to the sustainable economic growth of Ukraine and its integration into global logistics networks.
