Abstract: The article deepens the theoretical and methodological foundations for studying the economic determinants of land resource management and substantiates optimization mechanisms for forming a strategy for their rational use under conditions of sustainable development, digitalization, land market transformation and wartime challenges. It is proved that land resources in the modern economic system of Ukraine are not only a basic factor of agricultural production but also a strategic asset of the national economy, whose effective use determines food security, ecological stability, investment attractiveness of the agricultural sector and territorial development. The study argues that traditional approaches to land resource management, mainly focused on production efficiency and short-term economic returns, are insufficient under current conditions, since they do not fully take into account environmental constraints, institutional risks, the digital transformation of land relations, the consequences of warrelated damage to agricultural landscapes and the needs of post-war recovery. The content of economic determinants of land resource management is clarified as a set of interrelated economic, institutional, environmental, technological, social and securityrelated factors that determine the directions, tools and effectiveness of strategic land use management. The key groups of determinants are systematized, including institutionalregulatory, market-economic, production-technological, ecological-resource, digitalinformation, socio-territorial and military-security determinants. The article proposes an author’s interpretation of the optimization mechanism for forming a strategy of rational land use, which involves the coordination of economic incentives, environmental restrictions, digital monitoring, institutional regulation and social priorities of rural development. Unlike approaches that consider rational land use mainly as an environmental or production issue, the article emphasizes the need to integrate land policy, agricultural management, digital technologies, environmental responsibility and economic incentive mechanisms. The methodological basis of the study includes the systems approach, methods of analysis and synthesis, comparative and structural-logical analysis, scientific generalization, abstract-logical modelling, tabular systematization and graphical interpretation. The scientific novelty of the study consists in deepening the conceptual approach to strategic land resource management through the systematization of economic determinants and the identification of appropriate optimization mechanisms for their implementation under conditions of institutional instability, digitalization and wartime risks. The practical significance of the results lies in their possible application in improving national land policy, developing agricultural enterprise strategies, forming regional programs for rational land use and introducing digital instruments for monitoring land resources.
